Why should I consider installing a Vinyl Fence or Wall instead of the old traditional options?
In short, because Vinyl walls/fences need zero maintenance over the life of the wall/fence, it will always look as good as it did on the day it was installed. Secondly, a Vinyl Wall is much quicker, and less destructive to install than a traditional brick wall. Pet lovers have also experienced an additional benefit of our Vinyl fencing in that animals are highly unlikely to ever chew on our product as it is an inert, smooth and tasteless product which provides very little satisfaction to animals.

Still not sure? Still have some questions? Maybe the below could help;
How strong is EnduraTech uPVC really?
uPVC has 5x the tensile strength of wood and 4x the flexibility. Our uPVC fence components are engineered with impact modifiers and are UV-treated with TiO2 to ensure that our products wont weaken in the harsh African sun, and allows our Lifetime Guarantee against fading, cracking, blistering or discolouring.
What is the difference between PVC and uPVC?
uPVC stands for unplasticised-uPVC; unplasticised uPVC is stronger, and more rigid than regular plasticised uPVC, which means that it is better suited to creating durable and strong outdoor fences and walls.
Are all uPVC fences created equal?
In short, no. As with most things in life, many variations, often inferior, from the original product do exist. EnduraTech ensures that we use only ISO certified factories, and further ensure that our factories have FULL, ASTM certification (ASTM is the American Society for Testing and Materials). We further ensure that we ONLY use virgin, UV-treated, un-plasticised uPVC materials. We believe in building products that last; great material is a fundamental to achieving that.
What is the difference between a Vinyl Fence and a uPVC Fence?
A rose by any other name… these terms are entirely interchangeable. We have chosen to use both names to try and cover our bases. If you are dealing with any other manufacturer, be very careful, however, to confirm if their Vinyl fence is made from uPVC. EnduraTech ONLY uses uPVC.
Will uPVC break in cold/hot weather?
As with most plastics, uPVC will become less flexible in colder weather conditions. EnduraTech uses virgin uPVC, however, therefore, unless subjected to unusual impact, it will not break. It is normal for materials to expand and contract during temperature changes. Our uPVC products have been formulated to accommodate the temperature swings and changing climactic conditions typical in Africa.
Why can’t I get uPVC fence or railing in dark colours?
There are two separate reasons. The main reason sounds technical at first, but is even simpler than the second: Titanium dioxide, the chemical that is the main ultraviolet inhibitor, is a white pigment with an almost,“chalky” texture. When Titanium Dioxide is added to a coloured PVC, this chemical has a lightening effect on the colour.
The second is very logical; dark colours absorb a great deal of radiation (heat), and we do not yet have the technology available to us that will allow us to keep this heat from breaking down the colour molecules – which is part of what causes the fading.
Is uPVC safe for children and animals?
uPVC products have smooth surfaces with no nails, sharp edges or splinters. You, your children, pets and animals are all safer around uPVC than around wood or steel (for various reasons). uPVC has a tough surface, retains virtually no moisture, has no taste, and is non-porous; characteristics which also mean that it is highly UNLIKELY that Fido will believe it is his new chew-toy
Will uPVC burn?
uPVC has a high flash point of 900°F and does not readily ignite. It is generally categorized as being “self-extinguishing” which just means that, once you remove the source of the fire (the flame), it will no longer burn.
Will a weed eater scratch or hurt a uPVC fence?
uPVC fencing holds up to routine property maintenance, including the use of most types of weed eaters. Sorry little Johnny, we can’t get you off the hook on this one.
What is the warranty and what does it cover?
The warranty covers rotting, peeling, cracking, chipping and discolouration
How do I clean uPVC?
Generally, we have not come across anything that can’t be taken care of with some Handy Andy/Domestos.
Should you find yourself in the midst of teenage angst, most Graffiti can even be removed; first try using a non-abrasive scoring pad with a liquid cleaner if the graffitti is new. Failing that, try methylated spirits, mineral turpentine or hairspray (yes, hairspray) all have been proved to be effective.
Marker pen ink can also be removed using the above, but you sometimes you are left with a light ghosting. This will burn off over time with UV light. Alternatively, for quick removal Harpic wash & shine gel is effective.
Can I paint it?
If you really want to! We like to think that there is no reason to paint our beautiful uPVC products. The reality is that sometimes people do need a specific colour; if you decide to paint it, it would be best to use an epoxy-based paint – an epoxy paint does a better job of adhering to the smooth surfaces of uPVC. The downside, unlike our uPVC (Ahem), is that, much like any painted product, it would have to be repainted in time. Please note that any painting of your vinyl product voids its warranty.
How do you install uPVC products?
The great thing about uPVC products is that installation is far easier and less invasive that any other permanent solution (we do not believe that a wood or chain fence is permanent – we acknowledge the potential bias in our opinion). In terms of the actual process: it is very similar to most fencing, uPVC fence is installed with concrete around each post, and bottom rails are sometimes reinforced with aluminium insert supports.
Can I install uPVC fencing on a concrete surface?
Yes you can! It depends on the specifics of every site, but we can ensure a solid, lasting installation on just about any surface.
